Day 1: Inca Bridge of Q'eswachaka Full Day - Group Tour
In combined timing, around 5:00 am, we will pick you up from your hotel in the morning to go to Acomayo, where we will visit the Pomacanchi, Acopia, Asnaqocha, and Pampamarca or Tungasuca lakes. In these lakes, people usually can fish, camp in totora reed huts, and we will have time to observe different species of flora and fauna in each lake. After visiting the lakes, we will head to the Canas province, continuing until our main destination, the Inca bridge of Q’eswachaka (3,700 meters/12,139 feet above sea level). With a length of 1.20 meters and a width of 33 meters, this bridge is rebuilt by hand by the local residents using “ichu”. To protect the work that they will do, the locals perform the “payment to Pacha Mama” ceremony beforehand. We will cross the suspended Inca bridge going and coming back, where you will need courage to cross it. It’s a very special experience that you cannot miss since it is one of the bridges that has maintained its traditional construction since Inca times. You will be able to take beautiful photos of an authentic and unique panorama. Once visited, we will return to Cusco and drop you off at your hotel.
